Helpfully engages with local Atlanta and national design communities. We try to play roles as a community connector of people, convener of ideas, and pollinator between communities.
The Helpfully Lunch
We love to host and support the emerging design + tech ecosystem in Atlanta by hosting face-to-face events. The Helpfully Network gathers each month to break break and share outside of work meetings. The Helpfully Lunch is informal — we share stories, experiences, insights, and recommendations. There’s a theme but not usually a formal talk.
Tell us a little about yourself so we can make sure you're the first to know about the next Helpfully Lunch (or other events!).

Helpfully Loves Giving Back
We are also committed to giving back and growing the community in an inclusive way. We mentor entrepreneurs who don’t always get access to mentorship, UX tools, or conversations. In the past years, we have volunteered to work with startups at ATDC / The Garage, Comcast’s The Farm Accelerator, Techstars Social Innovation Accelerator, and The Intentional Good Project (by Goodie Nation).
Zach has had the opportunity to visit many local schools from middle-school through graduate courses. Zach loves to teach about design thinking and the power of small teams to make a “dent in the universe”. Through examples and stories and hands-on activities, Zach excites and empowers students to prototype ideas. If students need more than just inspiration, we have successfully run our one-week design thinking sprint session for 6-8th graders — it's similar to what we offer professional teams, but scaled to school projects.
Helpfully also serves as the co-organizing team of User Research Atlanta, an Atlanta meetup with over 700 members. We embrace the big tent of UX Research so our attendees are working in "market research," "usability testing," "web analytics," "growth marketing," "qualitative research," "ethnography," "design research," or "customer discovery." Join us to learn together!
